Happy new year, 2012 powder alert
Happy new year everyone. And looks like 2012 will kick off with good powder skiing. Powder alert in Ötztal. Check out the cars on the parking.
There’s always a Swiss..
Cool to see Oympic champ Didier Defago back on track after his injury. He took home the Bormio race in style today. The Swiss team is crazy strong. If Cuche has a bad day, then Feuz has been there to pick up the win. Today Feuz goes out, then Defago and Kung is there to secure a double win for the Swiss team. And this is in a season where guys like Janka and Zurbriggen have been struggling. Impressive speed team!! I got 6th today, and pretty happy with that. Bormio is a tough race and I’m to drive out of here with a good results.

One of the toughest downhill races of the year is coming up tomorrow. Kind of ironic that we hang out in a church before the bib draw. Time to prey?? We’ll see tomorrow. I run #16
Bormio
Dark, bumpy and über stiff legs in the finish area. Oh yes, everything like usual in Bormio. Except one thing. Last time I checked Hans Olsson was reading car magazines. Now he’s reading about interior and kitchen supplies.
Birthday!
Time to pop that Champagne! But since I’m spending the day on airplanes and in cars traveling to Bormio( that place is far from everywhere…), the birthday party is reschedule for summer 2012!
Are we making it home for Christmas?
Air Berlin out of Innsbruck was a bad idea. Some fog and that airport turned into a shitshow. We made an executive decision. We gotta find some star alliance. First chance is Munich tomorrow morning. So we re back on the road trying to make it to Norway for Christmas. Looks like it will work.

Downtown Innsbruck winter
