“Coming late”, i can feel that means something. ja, in some case, it’s better.
In my town, there were fireworks event in summer-night 2001. i went out it with my family. But we was 30 minutes late for the event. We thought, “how unlucky!” Spectators were more 100,000, and the accident happened… crowds-slide. It killed 11 people and was around 250 people’s injuries. Our “unlucky”(in fact, “very lucky”) late kept away us from the tragedy. We were grateful for Guardian Angels.(๑′ᴗ‵๑)

5 minutes late, surely it means something, i feel so. If Bodey would start at 16th, he might have an accident in that race… But something good kept away him from a crash, i do believe so. ❀(*´◡`*)❀

Well, I’m beginning to believe I’ve dreamt about bib draw this night, and Aksel getting #19 I think we should give a damn about the start numbers now, and, like you say Corinna, just wish the race to happen, cause with this weather not clearing up the guys would just want to set off, no matter what the bib is Weather concern seems to be the first priority now. Though, on the other hand, would be lucky for Miller if race doesn’t happen, he’d have a fair try another time then…

Sorry you didn’t really get my question. I understand all these bib draw rules and that naturally start numbers change from race to race. The question is why at yesterday’s evening bib draw (for today’s race) Aksel got #19 and now he is #21 on the start list. He was before Didier Cuche and now he is after him. I think he’s changed places with Defago, but I’m not sure. Erik Guay got bib 11, but he starts 13th. I don’t remember the others. In short, you see these moves aren’t understandable because they seem to have nothing to do with just placing Bode out of the favourites group.
Anyhow, doesn’t matter that much, there’s no way to understand FIS’ “kitchen” (if this word in the context makes sense in English). So best of luck to all the guys, including poor Bode Miller, and lets hope organizers can do their best to make good fair conditions for everyone (if it’s not get cancelled).

FIS seem to have another notion of “academic quarter”. They are people who are used to measure time in hundreds of a second. So probably for them “academic quarter” means 0’15. In that case Bode Miller was really late beyond any excuses Anyway, to his, Bode’s, credit, I didn’t see him complaining anywhere. It’s just Aksel, in a spirit of a true buddy, who advocates his cause.

first they get the name and then they get the nr! like in a big bowl like on the lottery!
and the top skiers came on the downhill and the super g a bit later (mostly btw bib nr 16 and bib nr 22)
(or was it first the nr and then the name) but like this it works and so the bib nr. change from race to race and from training to training!

and on the gs and the sl the top skiers came btw bib nr 1 and bib nr 6 or 7!

this is like on the football worldcup! when they get who is in which group!

If you tell us the story like this, it is absolutely ridicules! 5 minutes should absolutely be tolerated in any case!

Hope Bode makes the best of it. I am sad too because I love his style to ski, so no Bode on TV today!
