The Zero Rally experience

The Green Highway is the worlds longest electrical car friendly road. It stretches from Sundsvall, Östersund and to Trondheim. On this stretch over 50 electrical cars did a rally this week. I met up with the rally before they arrived in Trondheim and joined them for the last two stages. The first stage was at Lånkebanen race track. The Tesla Roadster does 0-100 km/h i less then 4 sec. This kind of performance + a race track equals a lot of fun. At the race track I also met up with my copilot for the drive to Trondheim, swedish rapper Jason Timbuktu. I already knew Timbuktu was a great rapper, but he also turned out to be s super nice and fun guy to hang out. And as the Tesla had an iPod docking, I soon had a great guy and a sweet DJ as my copilot. Jason and I rolled into Trondheim in style with big smiles on our faces and polluting the air with nothing but the beats from our stereo. Later that night we had a cool party when Jason went on stage and almost reached Swedish heaven as I watched the Sweden-England game in the Euro2012. Watching with the Timbuktu crew was a lot of fun as the game was very exciting and with Norway not present I can only experience the real emotions while watching with diehard Swedish fans. So the Zero Ralley was a great experience in every way. And I think this is the way to promote electrical cars. By showing that they can be both fun and practical and that being climate friendly is easier than you might think. In a city like Oslo driving an electrical car is practical. Charging stations and parking spaces all over. But it probably will be some time before I can drive and electrical car around the alps. But hopefully I´m wrong. Once things start happening, then they happen fast. And this is the future for sure.
